An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant to work as part of a team in supporting research into different teaching approaches to improve early language development.
This post will be based in the Centre for Global Learning, that aims to impact positively and ethically on teaching and learning across the higher education sector, and, beyond, by engaging in high quality research and influencing policy and practice. Our focus on sustainable development goal number four, ‘quality education’, underpins everything that we do to ensure that our research is impactful and leads to change.
The Research Assistant will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Professor Julia Carroll, in undertaking research duties such as: literature searches and screening; administering surveys, focus groups, observations and interviews with early years educators; transcription; data entry; coding; liaising with early years settings to arrange the research.
The successful candidate will possess a degree in a relevant discipline (for example Education, Psychology or Childhood and Youth Studies), have a sound understanding of research methods, some experience in a school or early years setting, and be an excellent communicator.
If you are interested in finding out more about the above opportunity, please contact Professor Julia Carroll – Talent.Acquisition@coventry.ac.uk
